This section will be for all those lovely videos that the public send in that don’t fit into any particular category. This can be anything from poetry to hula-hooping!

Open Mic Night

This will be a regular event (dependent upon submissions) comprised of viewer submissions of video content. Imagine you are at an actual Open Mic Night in a bar or club!

Viewers can submit up to 10 minutes of material, or two pieces of music / readings.

Viewers can submit content for more than one event in separate forms no more than once a week.

We will not accept explicit material or material unsuitable for all ages. Any indecent images,or content that promotes discrimination towards any ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age or differently abled persons, will not be accepted and if deemed necessary, may be reported.

Videos can be uploaded from mobile phones / pads / PCs / laptops / cameras. They must be  in LANDSCAPE aspect (horizontal view not vertical, or phone on its side not upright!).

You will be sent a link to upload content by ticking the appropriate box through our contact form attached.

We will edit submissions together to create film for each session which viewers will be able to access for free through this website and on our You Tube Channel.

By submitting material, you agree that The Quay are permitted to use your content on both of these sites.If we seek to publish on any social media platforms or other sites we will seek your permission first.

We may post links to specific edited films through social media and to our email database directing people to this website.

Your content and details will not be passed to any third parties and will be used strictly by Quay staff or regulated volunteers.

Sudbury Chronicles

Do you have a favourite Sudbury moment or event? What is your personal history with Sudbury? How have you coped during the Covid Lockdown? What are your lowlights AND highlights during this time?

Anything to do with Sudbury is up for grabs. If you need a prompt, we can supply questions and interview you and/or your family.

If you are interested in taking part, we will arrange to film you wherever you are safe bearing in mind social distancing. We want to get a real cross-section of people's experiences of living in and around our town, as well as from our regular visitors. Just supply your contact through our webform attached and we will be in touch!

Sudbury's Got Talent

We are looking for young people from in and around Sudbury to showcase their talents! Dancers, actors, singers, musicians, poets, composers, magicians, circus acts, comedians, impressionists, gymnasts...you name it! If you have a talent, then we want to see it!! The videos must be no older than 3 months and cannot be from other events or shows that you have performed in.

There are two age categories: 4-10yrs and 11-18 yrs and we welcome entries from either solo or sibling acts.

All you need to do is submit a video recording of you performing your Talent, at home or nearby or alternatively, in certain circumstances, we can arrange to film you perform your talent in a suitable location (safely, and socially -distanced of course!). The recordings will then be stitched together into a showcase film and published on our website. Please make sure you read our Terms & Conditions which includes a privacy policy. People making the submissions under 13 years, must supply contact for a parent/guardian with whom we can confirm permission.

You can ask questions and request to send a video on the webform attached. Remember to introduce yourself in your video and state your age please!

ENTRIES CLOSE ON 31st AUGUST 2020 and submissions must be no longer than 8 minutes.

In addition to the Showcase Film, we hope to host a Public Vote, with the winning act having the opportunity to perform live at the Quay Theatre when we open up again. There may also be local press coverage.
